Jacqueline Novak said, "I've been working on this show for the last few years, everywhere from comedy clubs and backyard parties in Brooklyn to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and most recently in black box theaters in Los Angeles. It's thrilling to bring it to New York City, the town where I developed as comedian, not to mention at one of its most beautiful theaters - the Cherry Lane."

Fun Fact: Get On Your Knees returned in June of 2021 and was the first Off-Broadway show to open at full capacity post the COVID-19 Pandemic.

wio_tourdates_lockup_white_left.jpg

Comedian Mike Birbiglia just finished up a four month run on Broadway performing his solo show The New One and now he's all out of jokes. Luckily, he's been developing some new jokes and stories. Mike will be reading and performing the best of the new. Which is hopefully better than the best of the old.

β€œThe Cherry Lane is a dream theater,” said Mike Birbiglia. β€œIt’s where I saw Colin Quinn The New York Story, Oh, Hello, and Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King. It’s intimate and historic and comfortable and all the things that make a theater experience lovely. Plus, if Eugene O’Neill and Samuel Beckett were willing to work there, I feel like I should be open to it. It really is a magically warm space. It’s like if you performed in your own living room if you happened to own a 40 million dollar loft in the west village.”

Oh Hello! Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland are coming to Broadway! More specifically: Off Broadway. To the Cherry Lane Theatre near the Christopher St PATH station.

Fresh off the success of their hit prank show "Too Much Tuna," these two Alan Alda-obsessed Upper West Side bachelors are returning to their roots in New York theatre. Having wowed audiences with past theatrical works like "True Upper West" and the "Annie Get Your Gun" inspired "Bernie Goetz You Gun: A Non Musical Drama," Faizon and St. Geegland are back for a total victory lap and to premiere their new play "We're Us, You're You, Let's Talk." Tickets are a lot of mony. Join us, won't you? And say Oh Hello...all over again.

NICK KROLL and JOHN MULANEY are American writers and comedians with many credits. They are thrilled to be working with theater legends Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland. This is their first Off Broadway Production.

By Ingmar Bergman
Directed by Austin Pendleton

Ryan Rumery, sound designer
Patricia Fletcher, dialect coach
Shelley Senter, movement consultant

Kelly Ice, Production Stage Manager
Denise Wilcox, Assistant Stage Manager

Opening: November 22 at 5pm

Ingmar Bergman's "Nora," a brilliant distillation of Ibsen's masterpiece, "A Doll's House," is a riveting tale of a seemingly conventional woman, struggling and then coming to terms with her life as a doll-wife in a traditional marriage. Out of the shadows of deceit, blackmail, and betrayal, Nora rises to a new consciousness of herself as a woman in a man's world. Through the microcosm of Nora's "doll house" marriage, both Bergman and Ibsen pose crucial questions about the role of gender in modern society.

Knowing Cherry Lane's commitment to emerging talent, I hope these young people are given the opportunity to showcase what obviously is a special group of writers/performers and can continue to develop their work at this historic venue.
