Naming Opportunities
We are pleased to announce that after more than a year of dreaming, planning and persevering…lots of persevering, the renovation of the Cherry Lane is complete! All of the details that make us an intimate, neighborhood playhouse have been preserved, and we now offer a more accessible, comfortable destination for our audiences, in addition to technically advanced workspaces for our artists.
But the work of safeguarding this cultural landmark and artistic treasure continues.
You can still help!
Be a part of Cherry Lane’s future by participating in one of our naming opportunities for theatre seats, granite floor stones and performance, work and public spaces. Now is the time for you to secure a permanent place in the fabric of Cherry Lane ’s work and our landmarked building.
Hearts of Art
Your name added to the “Hearts of Art” wall in our lobby. Participation starts at $250.
Memory Lane: Engrave a Lobby Floor Stone
Celebrate our rich history and lead us into our future by adding your engraved name (or that of a loved one) to a granite lobby floor stone. You can also honor a Cherry Lane playwright by dedicating a stone to a writer whose work premiered at the theatre from 1924 to the present day. Such playwrights include Eugene O'Neill, Gertrude Stein, Sam Shepard, Lanford Wilson and Suzan-Lori Parks. Click here for a complete history of Cherry Lane Productions.
- Large Floor Stones are two feet long by four feet wide, large enough to include a number of names. Donations for large floor stones start at $3,500.
- Medium Floor Stones are two feet long by one and a half feet wide.
- Donations for medium floor tiles start at $2,500.
- Small Floor Stones start at $1,000.
Take a Seat
Commemorate your support for the theatre, or commemorate a loved one, by naming a theatre seat with a personal dedication. Plus, we'll save your seat for you! When you attend a show produced by Cherry Lane Theatre, your seat will be reserved for you or your guest.
- Mainstage Seats are $1,500
- Studio Seats are $500
Name a Space
There are also naming opportunities for various performance, work and public spaces at our historic site. The newly renovated box office, administrative offices, dressing rooms and lobbies, as well as the Mainstage and the Studio theatres, which have hosted premiere productions by such artists as David Mamet, Adrienne Kennedy, Clifford Odets, and Samuel Beckett, can be named to honor an individual, family, company or organization. Donations start at $6,000.
