Inspired by actual interviews, TO THE BONE examines the very nature of equality and justice in contemporary America through the eyes of five women whose migration to the U.S. in search of a better life brings its own test of the human spirit. Originally commissioned by Working Theater, Mark Plesent, Producing Artistic Director.

TO THE BONE is part of the second annual Theater: Village festival, which presents a series of new plays in prominent West Village theaters based around one playwright or common theme. In 2014 Theater:Village presented E Pluribus, featuring four new plays celebrating the diversity of America.
