About the Heritage Series
Cherry Lane's Heritage Series presents Off-Broadway revivals of gems from our extensive Mainstage canon. Edward Albee's The American Dream and The Sandbox were originally produced at the Cherry Lane in 1961 and 1962 as part of ALBARWILD, a collaboration between producers Richard Barr, Clinton Wilder and Edward Albee, which intended to give production opportunities to emerging playwrights. ALBARWILD inspired the Cherry Lane Mentor Project, now in its 10th season. |
